fender precision bass
The Fender Precision Bass, also known as the Fender P Bass, is an electric bass guitar that was introduced by Fender in 1951. It is widely regarded as the first commercially successful electric bass guitar and has since become a staple instrument in popular music.
The Precision Bass features a solid body made of ash or alder wood, a bolt-on maple neck, and a rosewood or maple fingerboard. It is equipped with a split single-coil pickup that produces a distinctive, punchy sound with a strong low-end response. The P Bass also features a unique design that allows for easy and precise tuning, making it a popular choice for bass players who demand accuracy and reliability.
Two basic designs exist. The original design was based on the Fender Telecaster. In 1957, Fender introduced new, now more common design based on the Fender Stratocaster. The original design was reintroduced in 1968, but was renamed to Telecaster bass.
Within anime and manga, Yamada Ryo from Bocchi the Rock! is associated with the instrument, playing one with a white body, a white pickguard and a rosewood fretboard.
