create alias sdxl -> stable_diffusion
create alias stable_diffusion_3 -> stable_diffusion
We don't have separate tags for different versions. So why do we have these?
We don't have dall-e_2 or nijijourney_5 etc.

dreamshaper vs dreamshaper xl, anything (model) vs anything xl & pony diffusion vs pony diffusion xl
We do. I asked once about SD 1.5 versus SDXL model tagging in the Discord:

should the first two be merged into one tag?
and got these responses:

I wanna say no because the model architecture between SD1 and SDXL is so different that they're not the same even if they are the same lineage by the same author
Ocean3 said:
yeah completely different models, dreamshaper and dreamshaper_xl as tags

hmm, ok, but what about sd3

SD3 also acts differently from SD1.4/1.5 and SDXL, you can play with it a bit here with an API key from Stability AI: https://fireworks.ai/models/stability/sd3
To me it feels more like a more refined SDXL, it's not very much at all like the base SD1.4/1.5 models, it acts pretty differently enough that SD3 is it's own thing.

sd2 also acts differently but we have one tag for 1.5 and 2.0

Nobody used SD2.0/2.1 though, they were poorly trained to begin with and not as mature as SD1.4/1.5 models, it isn't worth having a tag for that because I doubt anybody even uploaded an image that used either of those two. Meanwhile there's already a decent small pool of posts that use SD3.

we are not talking about the amount of use, in this case it does not matter

For sake of consistency then:
stable_diffusion_2
But this wiki page will only possibly exist for purposes of consistency, I doubt any posts will ever fall under it, unless if I comb through some of the stable diffusion posts and somehow find one that uses it.
