狼と香辛料 (Ookami to Koushinryou, Spice and Wolf)
A series of light novels written by Hasekura Isuna and illustrated by Ayakura Juu, later adapted into a manga (illustrations by Koume Keito) and then an anime series.
The story details the life and journeys of Craft Lawrence, a traveling peddler, and a pagan wolf deity named Holo who has taken the form of a young human woman.
This title is an exception to the "original language" rule.
