Originally announced and launched as Immortals: Muv-Luv Alternative, it was rebranded to MuvLuv: Dimensions prior to relaunching.
The game is set in an alternate universe from the rest of the franchise, where an international PMC called Immortals leads mankind's fight against the B.E.T.A. in the year 20XX. This alternate setting has allowed the game to feature characters from different time periods and countries of the original works as part of the same force.
