kurt cobain
An American musician, best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the rock band Nirvana. Born on February 20, 1967, in Aberdeen, Washington, he started playing music at a young age. In 1987, he formed Nirvana with bassist Krist Novoselic, with drummer Dave Grohl eventually joining in 1990, after a succession of a few others in the position.
Nirvana's second album, "Nevermind," was released in 1991 and featured the hit single "Smells Like Teen Spirit," which helped to popularize the grunge music genre. Despite his success, Cobain struggled with drug addiction, chronic pain, and depression throughout his life, and tragically died by suicide on April 5, 1994, at the age of 27.
