The Demi-Fiend, known as the the Hitoshura (人修羅) in the Japanese version of the game, is the silent main character of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. As usual in the Shin Megami Tensei series, his actions and Reason (alignment) are dictated by the player.

As a half-demon, he can ingest small parasite-like beings called Magatama; ingesting different ones will change his elemental weaknesses and strengths, as well as the skills he can learn.
