Aoki Hagane No Arpeggio Wiki

蒼き鋼のアルペジオ (Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio, Arpeggio of Blue Steel) is a sci-fi seinen manga series by Ark Performance and published in Young King Ours. A 12-episode CG anime adaptation of the series titled Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova- aired Fall 2013. A spin-off manga titled ソルティ・ロード (Salty Road) by TALI, author of 6 no Trigger, began publication October 2014

The series revolves around the crew of the submarine I-401, a sentient ship that has rebelled against the mysterious navy, known as the Fleet of Fog that is composed of naval vessels that possess weapons and armor that completely outmatches those possessed by humans. The Fleet of Fog in 2039 took control of the seas around the world and cut off transport between continents and islands by all means except expensive SSTO (single-stage-to-orbit) space vehicle launches. The series begins in 2056 with the I-401 and its crew requested to protect a Japanese SSTO launch from the Fleet of Fog.
