The German destroyer Z3 Max Schultz was a Type 1934 destroyer built for Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine.
In Kantai Collection, Z3 Max Schultz has short red hair and brown eyes. She wears a sailor hat that has her name written on it and a sailor dress that matches Z1 Leberecht Maass'.
Originating in Humikane's 3rd Anniversary art and implemented for Mid-Summer 2016, she is given a white sailor bikini with a white version of her sailor cap with an additional striped bow and a smiley face for the dot on her hat. She is equipped with an abridged version of her gear painted in dazzle camouflage with a cooler full of ice containing a bottle of beer taking place of the left side of her gear. When damaged, an abyssal creature is seen latching to her leg and undoing her bottom with its tentacles. The swimsuit proved to be popular with fan artists while the abyssal creature led to some art where it goes further than simply stripping her.
She is the third Kriegsmarine vessel introducted into the game along with Bismarck and Z1 Leberecht Maass.
Her namesake (as well as that of her historical counterpart), Max Konrad Felix Schultz, was a German Korvettenkapitän (corvette captain) killed during World War I.
