Edit
"狭霧," lit. "fog".
The personification of the Japanese destroyer Sagiri in Kantai Collection. 16th of the Special Types, 6th of the Ayanami-class.
Character design by Drew, voiced by Suzuki Minori.
Personality
Sagiri, in direct contrast to her "older sister" Amagiri, is portrayed as soft-spoken and highly "girly". Her official voiced lines portray her as lacking in confidence in battle and easily panicking upon being damaged (or when poked by Amagiri). She and Amagiri both have lines implying that Sagiri enjoys cooking for Amagiri and others.
Appearance
Sagiri has long grey/silver hair, with asymmetric swept bangs. She has purple eyes in tareme style, and wears a blue hairband with a blue bow on it. Like most of the Fubukis, she wears a relatively "classic" short-sleeved serafuku outfit with a grey ribbon, and grey pleated skirt. Underneath (visible in the damaged art) she wears a grey bra and grey panties. She also wears white kneehighs.
Her rigging involves the standard Fubuki-type "backpack" of a mast and smokestack. She carries a twin-cannon turret in her right hand, and has a triple torpedo launcher strapped to the outside of both thighs. She also wears boxy metal boots.
History
The historic IJN Sagiri served for a very short period of time during the war. At the time of the Attack on Pearl Harbor, Sagiri was in DesDiv 20 of DesRon 3. On Dec 24th, 1941 (not even three weeks into the war), Sagiri was torpedoed by the Dutch submarine HNLMS K XVI, detonating her aft magazine. About half her hands were lost, with the survivors being picked up by sister-ship Shirakumo.
From the partial teaser through the game's Twitter avatar to the full reveal, Sagiri's long gray hair alone gives her a somewhat striking resemblance to incidental namesake Izumi Sagiri from Eromanga Sensei.
Before her implementation during Summer 2017, Sagiri notably appeared in the 10th DesDiv (3rd Generation) series by usui harusame.
