A QR (Quick Response) Code is a matrix barcode readable by QR scanners, mobile phones with a camera, and smartphones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on white background. Although in theory anything can be encoded, the most common application is to encode an URL so that anyone with a smartphone can load a Web site by taking a picture.
