Hololive (stylized as "hololive") is an all-female virtual YouTuber group managed by Hololive Production, which itself is owned and operated by Cover Corp.
As of July 2022, the Hololive group consists of 54 currently active VTubers divided across 3 major branches: the 35 members of the original Japanese-speaking branch (unofficially referred to as Hololive Japan), the 9 members of Hololive Indonesia, and the 10 members of Hololive English. (There were also 11 members who are no longer active, including the 6 members of the Hololive China branch which was disbanded in December 2020.) Each branch is further divided into multiple generations, where each generation is a batch of VTubers who debuted at the same time. Hololive Production also manages the all-male counterpart group Holostars.
In February 2021, Cover announced Hololive Alternative, a multimedia project including a Twitter manga and music video that aims to tell in-universe stories using the Hololive vtubers' character backstories. Later, in August 2021, Cover announced Hololive Error, a horror-themed spin-off project. A year later, in June 2022, Cover announced Holoearth, a game featuring various Hololive members.
