Edit
A diorama is a particular way of representing a scene three-dimensionally. Traditionally a diorama is a physical thing, with figurines and miniature objects arranged within a box.
An image is tagged diorama if it depicts an actual diorama or if it is visually reminiscent of one, foremost by emphasizing three-dimensionality (via perspective or isometric) and by suggesting an imaginary box, via artificial, sharply defined edges to the space, as if cut by a giant knife
Compare with faux figurine, which focuses on (usually) a single character on a small base with minimal environmental elements. A diorama may contain any number of characters or none at all, and if present the focus is mostly on the space they inhabit.
