Img2img makes use of a "base" image that is modified using prompts to make a new image. This could be a very rough sketch like post #251 or any more detailed/completed work.
Images with this tag should not be tagged as inpainted unless they were edited during the generation process.
Additionally, images with this tag should not be tagged as first-party edit unless they were edited in an outside program (like photoshop.)
