faux_* aliases

BUR #167 has been approved by @Penance.

create alias graphite_(medium) -> faux_graphite
create alias painting_(medium) -> faux_painting
create alias oil_painting_(medium) -> faux_oil_painting
create alias watercolor_(medium) -> faux_watercolor

On AIbooru I know it goes without saying images here are imitations of the actual styles, but traditional media was already aliased to faux traditional media so this is for consistency. This alias is also only for populated tags.

Any digital art, non-ai or not, is "faux" replicating styles. I don't see this as something that needs to be done and just creates unneeded complexity.

change (medium) to (style) if anything

I disagree. I really don't see the issue, because unlike Danbooru where hand-drawn pictures do get uploaded, AIBooru focuses specifically on digital art exclusively so everything emulating a style is "faux" by default.

The only exceptions I could see for here would be if a hand-drawn img2img reference is uploaded (which is not encouraged anyway), or if a hand-drawn off-topic image is uploaded (which is against the rules), so I see little room for conflict here.

Also, I'm not referring to the style, I'm explicitly referring to the medium itself. For example; post #30741 is tagged as graphite (medium) but it wasn't hand drawn with a pencil, it's an imitation of a pencil sketch.

You are referring to the style. Even on danbooru or wherever, there may be physical uploads where those specific tags apply there, but a lot is still replicating a style. The post you posted is replicating a sketch/graphite style. Sometimes that includes an ai generated 'medium' per say but the style is more important to note imo. I still don't think a ton of 'faux' tags for mediums is necessary, just make them styles.

So are you proposing replacing the *_(medium) tags with *_(style) tags, then? Having both wouldn't be necessary.

Should pixel_art be part of this?

I have posted my opinion regarding pixel art here.
topic #130

basically the big difference with "traditional media" is that pixel art is (almost) exclusive to digital illustrations.
AI can currently only make digital drawings and although it is not perfect, AI tries to recreate the pixel art style, sometimes even limiting its colors, just as a pixel art made by a human would do.
I don't see the point of calling it "faux" if the AI meets the requirements to be called pixel art.

in the traditional media, it needs a paper, the AI can not draw on real paper, it just generates a fake illustration of a realistic paper and draws over it with graphite or fake ink.
fake Paper = faux traditional media

why did you manually approve it if it was rejected 🤨

Maybe she thought it would be useful or something? Automatic rejection doesn't mean approval isn't possible.
